Laws are made for the poor

Today I was in a tricycle going to our State's electricity distribution company to pay my electricity bills. The traffic was moving smoothly until the traffic light showed the stop colour; but a car ahead of us refused to stop, instead it's driver tried to to beat the traffic, hence disobeying the traffic rules. The police officers on duty stopped him and tried to drive him to their office for penalty; but discovering that the car belonged to a king of a nearby community, they only gave him a stern warning and allowed him to go. If that man was an average citizen without any political or monarchial connection, they would have surely driven him to their office for detention or for a heavy fine. In my country laws are made for the average citizens and not for the elites.

It's not supposed to be like that in this country, but, unfortunately, it sometimes is.

The lawless behave as if they're above the law. They are morally deprived. There are grave consequences for these kind of lawless people.

Absolutely correct. The police officers sometimes forget to follow the rules of the laws properly. But don't forget that every human being make a mistake. So let forgive him for the first time but not always.

In my native country (Italy) it seems that Law are NOT made for criminals. They get out of jail in 24 hours, even if they are poor.

That's the thing about people with connections...They break the law knowing that they'll get out of it easily...as you've said it is a normal thing in your country..
