Loneliness is ...

There are many songs and poems that touch the theme of loneliness. A song by an Argentine singer called Leonardo Favio says in one of his phrases: "Loneliness is a friend that is not ...".
There are many people who enjoy being alone without the company of other people and there are those who can not be alone for long.
There are many ways to perceive loneliness. Each person has a different concept of what it is. What solitude means to some is not what it means to others.
How do you perceive loneliness? What does it mean to you? Do you like to be alone or would you prefer to be always surrounded by people?

Since I live alone, I get my alone time at home. When I go out, I'm friendly and will talk to people anywhere.

@karibe I think that loneliness is a longing and not having a mate that is compatible and suitable and with whom you are happy to be with and with whom you enjoy enjoying God's creations.

Well, you enjoy your time alone (solitude), you do not have problems with the lack of company, however you think that when people feel alone they are falling into depressed feelings.

There are times when I want to be lonely. While there are also times when I want to be close to my family.

Hello Kokil. it means is that there are times when you want to be without people by your side (solitude) and that is natural when we want to be with ourselves and, those who are believers, with GOD. But have you ever experienced a feeling of loneliness, of abandonment, that is depressing, bad?

This answer of yours is very interesting because you touch something very important that is the difference between solitude and loneliness and you say I love my solitude and I'm rarely lonely. So solitude is desirable and lonely is not. Can you establish a point of difference between the two terms?

To be alone and be loneliness are two different things. I feel very lonely, and that is not something I want.
