Do you ever feel like a "blob" in Winter? I got a brief cycle in today!

When the showers (rain) stopped, and I saw some blue sky, I grabbed my bike. I only cycled about one mile before the rain started coming down again.
I stopped at the pet store and hung out with the parakeets for a few minutes, talking to them in Parakeet. They told me that Spring is in the air, in spite of the rain. A couple of them were "making out."
I then continued home, refreshed. Now I'm chilling, about to play some guitar. I feel like a blob, as I haven't really exercised in two weeks. But I also feel the bike trails, hiking trails and pool calling to me.

I wish I had time to be a blob! I am constantly on my feet at work, and also have to do a lot of swimming. And in my off time, I am constantly at practice with my paintball team. At the end of this month, when I have knee surgery, I'll then have about 6 weeks of forced downtime. I'll be a total blob at that point!

@TheHorse Well, I do play on a professional paintball team, and so that is very similar to war in that we are trying to shoot and kill our opponents, so I guess the answer to your question will be a resounding yes once I complete rehab. I will be a macho man ready for war.

No, not really. 'Cause I have horses and they need exercise all year, so I'm not more active in the summer than in the winter.
Some times I feel a bit lazy in December and May since it's grading season, and being stuck inside with heaps of papers to grade isn't my favourite part of my job.

@TheHorse Especially if you take it before you starts grading *glares at physics tests*
There's this one kid in the physics class that really can't write. It's like a drunken person from around 1910 with a broken pen. I've tried for two and half years and it still doesn't make sense *sighs and stares a blueberry liquere bottle*

One mile isn't bad for an early spring warmup.

@TheHorse If you keep doing that, you'll make some incredible rides. It's just like that penny thing, where you get one penny today, then tomorrow, you get two pennies, the next day, you get 4 and so on. In just a few days, you'll be riding far enough to get to Europe.

When I lived in Latvia winter was the time to stay indoors mostly since temps went into the minuses and there was lots of snow and ice and then I felt like I was half living. Now in Florida I can go out at any time and enjoy the good weather after just some brief cold spells. When I become a blob here is when the tropical heat hits in the summer and you can hardly move from the oppressive heat but I learned in my first summer here so this summer I am still getting myself out and off to the beach where I can sit under an umbrella with my feet in the cold Atlantic Ocean. Hope the spring find you soon so you can get out there and get active.

@TheHorse I think so too. It's a lovely morning here today. Yesterday was horribly windy and then last night we had snow showers! But now it's a beautiful sunny day and I'm going to head to the nearest town for a couple of things, should be about an 8-mile round trip.

I feel blob everyday by just staying at home and not really go out a lot these days.

When I do not exercise,I feel like a blob through out the day. If the weather is not good for outdoor exercising, I prefer to go to gym.. It is just downstairs in my building.
Glad to know that you can talk parakeet.

@arunima25 You are correct. My first language is Horse, and my second language is Parakeet. I'm also fairly fluent in Dog and Cat. I also speak some English, and am working on my French, Spanish, Hebrew, Squirrel, Goat and Sheep. I would love to learn Wolf and Dolphin, but haven't had the chance.

@TheHorse That is impressive! So I make a wild guess that you talk parakeet, squirrels, chipmunks to name a few..

Will it be warm enough to melt all of the snow? Thanks for mentioning me in that one snow picture post! I love that house across the street. It takes me back to Grinnell Iowa. Midwestern architecture has a "stamp" that I can't convey in words.

My bike has two flat tires. I probably need to fix that before going for a ride.
Meanwhile, the dog needs to be walked and living in a house with three levels keeps me from becoming too blobby.

@TheHorse Me too. I may put the houseguest/son on it this week if he starts showing signs of boredom.
