Lately I'm thinking about moving to another country for better work and money reasons .
But i caught myself thinking today...whats the price ..to leave everything and to go work in the middle of nowhere.
Miles and miles of nothing but forest, no towns nearby .
Just a hotel and miles of nothing near you. Just lands of green grass.
Would be all worth it? Thinking if the money is the only reason to do it, that i wouldnt hold on there for too long.

Taking a job only for the money is maybe not good for a long time. If you do it for a while, save money and don't hate the job, why not? Where have you considered going?
But if you don't like the area or the job, then it'll hard-earned money.
Going to another country to make more money wouldn't make sense for me, Norway has high salaries. Maybe I'll spend more time than a holiday abroad at some point, but I'm not sure what I'd do.

@Lunali Ireland is lovely! Only been there once, but I'd really like to go back in the summer. March was a bit bleak.
I wouldn't cope with too remote, so I see your point. I like people and cities. I love the woods to, and wandering around in nature, but wouldn't want to live too remote.

Miles of forest and green grass... that sounds lovely! My partner and I have been looking at places near the sea (we live in what I suppose you'd call an urban (maybe suburban in parts) area. An old industrial town.
We can't afford to move at the moment but I think I might if I had a well-paid job to go to!
If it's not somewhere you want to go, though, then it's different, I suppose. I would say it depends what you're leaving behind, what potential you have for work (can you climb a career ladder? Return to somewhere nearer home with your job?). If you can make a good living for a year then maybe it would be worth it, if only for the money. If you know you wouldn't stay for long then you must look at what the options are if you don't go or if you stay for a short time.

You're right! If the money is the only reason, it's not worth it. You should really like the idea of living in that part of the world.

We have been transferred for work several times... sometimes the outcome is awesome, other moves, just didn't work out. Look at it as an adventure that you can always leave if it doesn't work out!

It's your choice if you desire and find worth to go there then surely step ahead.

It depends. I would do it if the pay is high enough, but I'll always return. It doesn't matter if the place is ugly or beautiful, if the people are bad or good. Those things can help or make life harder, but if money is my purpose there, then I'll keep on going until I get enough. I'll visit the place again if the experience was nice, I won't if the experience was bad.

@Lunali the point is: is the pay decent? Do you really need those money? If the answer is yes, then go for it. Do it for a year or two or even five. If it takes more than five years, thenyou should ask yourself again if it's worth it. If the answer is yes again, then there's nothing left against moving there.

You are young and still can make it and that is a opportunity for you and your own good and family.I experienced to be away also from my children and family for money reason also so I did make it if you are determined because it is still the same if you stick to where you are now and you are struggling so better to do it for the future sake.

making a move like that is a big decision. i would definitely weigh out the pros and cons before you decide.
