I Am a CAMERA SHY Person: What?!?

When I was younger, I do love taking photos of myself. As the years go by, it lessens to have selfie photos. Sometimes I am not comfortable when someone taking stolen shots of me. I always experience this when having classes online. Some of the students' mothers taking photos of me while having video classes online. Hopefully, it is not being recorded and uploaded to any other websites. That's the reason I am not indulging myself to be a YouTuber. However, I am not closing my door with the possibility. I don't mind people taking pictures of me when I'm doing what I love to do (mostly playing music). But I have trouble "smiling for the camera" in posed shots. They seems so fake. I never was into selfies.

I think it is fine to take photos of us if we are in certain activities. I don't mind during the time working as a facilitator in the community. I am not fond of selfies, but I did this when working alone in a medical mission in Tajikistan before. Most of the time, I am alone when traveling and no choice to take photos of myself when seeing new things to me. Now, I don't do it anymore.

I used to be camera shy because I am very insecure especially with my weight and that lovely double chin I have haha but over the years I just learned not to care. A picture can explain so much in a moment and we are living in an age that the moments can be captured all the time and that is awesome. I also realized that I looked my ridiculous trying to block a camera from my face than actually smiling at it or always make sure I am smiling and being happy if a camera is around.

I am not sure why don't want to be pictured. Perhaps I am so used having video classes every day. There is an exemption to this. I usually love taking photos of nature and new things.

@Shavkat I do not like taking my picture because most of the time I look terrible in pictures. There are a few that turn out nice and those are the ones I like to use over and over again for things.

I have the same feeling. As time goes by, I am not interested in taking photos for myself or others take photos for me. Perhaps I am not so confidence to my look as well as before

I have never been camera shy--I have pictures from the day I was born up to today and many people have taken pictures of me--some I have never seen!LOL

I do think that I had those photos during my childhood years. I am not into having selfies lately. I can have photos with close friends. But the initiative of doing it, it is a slim chance.
