This is such a touchy subject for alot of people with me being no exception. I wish there was a quick fix where someone could snap their fingers and I would lose at least 50lbs instantly.
And I know that some people are going to have negative comments about this post so before I continue on, I just want to say that this post is for ME and for anyone that finds this helpful or has anything helpful to tell me like tips that worked for them.
This post is not to put me down or tell me that I am fat, that I shouldn't have done this or ate that. All negative comments will be deleted.
Back to the topic at hand......
Now that the weather has been getting warmer, we got up to 45 yesterday, I am very eager to get outside as much as possible.
And even though I knew it wouldn't be good, I weighed myself. Something I hadn't done in a really long time. And while I wasn't surprised at the number, I wasn't happy either. I knew I had gained weight as it has been a very stressful winter along with we've eaten out alot more than we have in the past.
For those that are curious, I weigh 264. And I have a feeling that drinking soda is one of the major problems. I usually fluctuate between 250 and 255 during winter but this past month or so, I've been drinking a -- oz pepsi nearly every day.
Even though I know that this is going to be a hard road, it is time for a change. I have always been a heavy person all my life so I'm going to be making some lifestyle changes. And I can't say that I will never eat out again but I will be looking into better options at each place my family likes to go. And I will have my cheat days.
So as of today, no soda unless it is the only option. I'm going to try to drink ALOT more water, possibly flavor the water with some lemons so that it will be easier to drink. Cut out the fatty foods and when we eat out, I'll get salad or grilled chicken or some other healthier option.
I am also going to be exercising. Probably start out by taking my dog for long walks and get some exercise dvds or wii games. I do have a wii fit board that I got KK so looks like I'll be using that as well. I would love to try Yoga as well but not sure if that is a good weight loss thing.
I'm going to keep a food journal and write everything down when possible. Today is my dad's turn to make dinner so I have no way of knowing how many calories it is because I won't know what it is until he brings it to my sisters.
I'm going to try to come up with an eating plan once I know how many calories I'm currently eating. That way I know where I can cut some calories or substitute something healthier.
I am also only going to weigh myself once a week, well I'll try to. I know that I probably won't see much results the first couple of weeks unless I drastically change everything. It's going to take time and effort but in the end it will be worth it. I would love to be 200 lbs by my next birthday which is in sept.
For those that have lost weight, I do have some questions for you.
What methods did you use? What worked and what didn't? Why?
How often did you weigh yourself?
Also, if anyone has any helpful tips, I would gladly accept them.
As of today, I am no longer drinking soda. Fingers crossed that I am able to stay strong and while I know that I won't be able to stick to it without including a few things I love, I'm hoping that I can find the time to do more exercise to compensate for it.

Have you tried the website My Fitness Pal? There is lots of support there and lots of great success stories which I find really motivating. You can also log your calories and exercise. It is a difficult journey but we can do it. I have lost weight many times but it always found its way back. I am back at it again so hopefully we can motivate each other.

You are on the right track I should say. I am also trying to lose weight for healthy reasons.
I do not drinks sodas anymore since late November last year. Lemon water really helps so you can avoid sodas. Nowadays, when I taste the soda, it gave me the super sweet taste that I instantly do not like. I am also walking every morning but somehow my weight is still the same, maybe I should exert more effort on the exercise.
Lets be positive! We can do this!

Yes we can. I'm going to look into an app or an easy exercise plan where it tells you how many squats and things like that to do a day. Then I'm also planning on taking at least an hour walk with my dog a night after everyone goes to bed. I know that wanting to lose 60+lbs in 6 months may not be doable or if it is, it's going to take alot of work. And if I am completely honest, even if I get down to 225 by my birthday, I will be happy with that.

Take it one step at a time and just start working toward your goal and developing the discipline to get there.

I think you have to start trying weight loss pills it helps you to remove extra fat from your body. It doesn’t mean if you are taking weight loss pills( ) then you can quit your exercises I can say it is a one of type of booster to help you in weight loss. What you ate lots of fat this medicine works as a machine inside your body. It also doesn’t have any side-effects.
