Do you enjoy the fact that we can actually LEARN stuff on MyLot?

This morning I learned from @FourWalls that WiIlie Nelson did NOT write "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain." That got me to thinking about other things I've learned here. From @Vandana7 I have learned (among other things) that women's rights have a long way to go in India.
I could make a long list of specific things I've learned from specific people (about Iowa, Wisconsin, Swizerland, Australia, Iowa, Germany, etc.), but I have to head off to work.
I enjoy the social interaction here. And I enjoy saving for my MyLot Porsche. But I enjoy the learning almost as much as the socializing. Can you think of something specific you've learned here? Do you enjoy learning stuff from fellow MyLotters?

Well..... not to give you a big head, but I learned from you. Several years ago I was listening to a manager and not so much to my guy feeling, renting houses to anyone. Then I would be mad when they destroyed my houses and I had a mess when they moved. This is what you said "Who are these people you are renting too?"
So, I thought about it. They were poorer and lower class, so fired the manager, I prettied my houses, jacked the prices, wrote out pre rental inspection sheets and more. Now I get excellent tenants!
So thank you for making me think.

I am guilty of not visiting your posts as often. My reason is, I feel my comment may not be perfect in English. I will definitely check on yours if you can accommodate on my flawed language. Honestly, I take pains to correct my English many times before pressing that comment. :)

@MALUSE I also do not talk to others much. We use local language. A little bit with kids (Age 4 and 7). That is all. Their mother is mad at me because I give them chocolates and ice creams. She has stopped talking to me. So no scope whatsoever.

@vandana7 Are you crazy? It's high time you overcame the problems you had with your teacher of English long, long ago. You are projecting the problems you had with this woman onto me. I have nothing to do with her!! In fact, I find this insulting. I don't give a gnat's fart if you make grammatical mistakes in English or not.
It is very likely that your spoken English is much better than mine as I haven't spoken English for ages. You have to use it every day. I wouldn't know with whom to talk English. Well, there is someone, namely an American who lives in the house beside ours. He came here with the Army and then stayed. He is a teacher by trade. Unfortunately he is also an idiot and he married one of the stupidest women the town had to offer.
Now, stop this attitude "...if you can accommodate on my flawed language..." or I won't know you any more.

I wouldn't enjoy your food...I mean, I saw what Pony ate as snack...and I thought...they survive on this? Then I am a glutton. My poison is pickle and rice, and guess what, I ate pickle and rice after full nine months, today. So far my tummy has behaved.

There is a long list. But definitely I have learnt a lot. And the experiences from different countries are really enlightening. The few names that pop up my mind right now are Judy Evans.. I learnt a lot about Australia wild life from her posts, Deborah Mitchell... A lot of fascinating facts about different arts and artists. I am amazed at all the musings. My list will go on and on.
The latest one I learnt is that adding aspirin to the water in vase where we keep fresh flowers make it stay fresh for longer time.

One thing I learned from Judy Evans is Australian wombats have cube shaped poop. That was so interesting. If we could somehow get larger poop out of them, we wouldn't need brick factory.
On a serious note, she does come up with interesting posts. I enjoyed her Europe series, and weird food. She risked her life for us... eating and drinking all that. And that large tree trunk that had a perfect room for me.

@TheHorse Are you kidding? Australia is surrounded by sharks, and it has the most poisonous snakes in the world. NEVER. Not even a visit. Now, Japan...that is one place, I might risk my life for. I have a good impression about its trees and mountains..peaceful place I should think. Not the cities..

I am too old to be learning much. I learned grammar from Maluse and Deborah. I came to know a lot of interesting things too from them and Judy Evans and American Judy. From you, I learned NOTHING...ok don't cry... a few words here and there...including sigh.

Here is a wee bit more to go towards your myLot Porsche .
Oh yes, there's always something to learn here from everyone! We are all different, yet in many ways we are all similar too. I know too that I'm not alone in going to TJs and getting coffee and samples .

Jeff Moffitt @moffittjc did give another perspective on management at work which I wasn't really considering. A managers actions can sometimes be questionable but then what is their manager communicating to them? Jeff got me thinking in that direction.
I can say that I've learned from the Quora website when I was using it because some writers do have excellent qualifications and can write in great detail. People have expressed that this site is not the same as Quora and that is fine with me. Will see in the future how much of a learning experience presents itself.
Knols Fred Rose was a song writer and musician but I couldn't find any music he actually played or sang himself.
