One month until Clearwater Beach!

How is everyone doing? Just checking in, it's 830PM at work and it has finally slowed down for a minute so I decided to pop on quick. I am already thinking about my next vacation, even though I just returned from one on 3/1/19, less than 20 days ago. But that "vacation" stressed me out a little bit because of who I went with. Really wasn't the low-key, relaxing vacation I had looked for. You know?
Me, my older sister and my mom will be headed to Clearwater Beach, Florida in less than one month! Only for 3 days, but that works for me. I like these quick little trips, and it helps break up my months a little better than only taking one long-er trip.
I think this one will be fun. Me and my sister always get along super well when traveling. So far, we are going to be going to the Clearwater aquarium (my mom wants to go), and we may possibly be taking a boat tour, either in a swamp or on the ocean. Not sure about that part yet. BUT I do know I hope it is sunny out and we can get plenty of beach time in; we are going to be in a condo right on the beach.
Have you any fun or quick vacations coming up? Do share!

My mother wants me and her to go to the Georgia aquarium, I don't when we are going. My fiance wanted me to come up to NJ to go with him to his high school reunion sometime in April. I don't know if I will go.

@maezee No. The first time I went up to New Jersey, it took us 4 days to get there. But we went through Washington DC. It's about 3 states up from me.

I love short trips away. We have to make any trips a little longer due to my partner's illness and needing to rest after travelling. So, it does sometimes mean we have a weekend away just to have a day trip, depending on where we go!
I do like to go to away. I have two upcoming trips (and, possibly, a third). I'm going to another country for the first time in August with my two sons. Then, in October, I'll be getting married and my honeymoon will be a few days away somewhere that's only a couple of hours train journey from home. If I can afford it, I am hoping to take my partner away for his birthday in May as well. We've done that a few times.
I've recently had a couple of day trips. One to spend a day with sons where my eldest lives (he's away at uni), and a trip out with my youngest son and my little niece and nephew to a castle. I love that kind of thing.
I've recently given up my car so travelling can take longer, and we're a little more limited to where we can go but I do love to get away as often as I can.

@maezee I'll be going to Spain. I was hoping to go somewhere else as Spain isn't really somewhere I'd ever had any inclination of going. But it is a short flight, the hotel has things we like, and I let my youngest give me some ideas and that was his choice. I'm glad it's a short flight considering none of us have flown before. Well, I did once but that was a very short flight to do a skydive!
I think we could rent a car but if places are easy to get to, it's probably cheaper to go on the train. Some places are even quicker and easier to get to that way! We are, of course, able to get taxis but that works out expensive, especially if we're going somewhere that is out in the middle of nowhere with no public transport! It's much easier for us to find places near to train stations (and we love to travel by train so that's a bonus!)

No vacations for us! =) We really don't need one, we live in peace every day. I hope you enjoy the next vacation you go on!

Oh, I wish I could live like that. I Just love getting out and seeing new things. But I am also single, with no kids, so I am free as can be, as long as I can come up with the money and get the time off work! But I do have friends who really have no interest in traveling, which is totally fine too.

@maezee Walking with Jesus is relaxing-even with 5 children, 3 pets, a house to run, Home Schooling my kids, & a husband. =)
As long as you enjoy them--that's good! I would love to travel to explore new places but not to relax or for peace.

that's exciting to have something like that to look forward to! I'm on the other coast of Florida, but I've been near where you're going. it's very beautiful over there. I hope the weather stays nice for you :)
and I am the same, I'd rather have a smaller vacation over a super long one. idk why but it just feels right

Oh cool! I agree, it's nice to take several smaller trips....Although I would like to, some day, go to places further away (like Japan, New Zealand, etc) where it would only make sense to take a longer trip. Where do you live in Florida? I have only ever been to Fort Lauderdale, but I want to check out the Everglades at some point.

@maezee yes definitely staying longer would be better for travelling to another country. I'm in fort pierce, about two hours north of fort Lauderdale! the Everglades are fun, we used to take school trips there, but it's very hot and humid so come prepared

Enjoy your vacation. As for me, I just got home from a three-day vacation. I went to the beach with my newfound friends.
