I was itching to get out of the house and get outside today before work, Since while I got home at 2am last night, I do not start work until 330PM. It must be said that it’s 44 degrees F and sunny, with a UV Index of 4! Hello, Spring!
It feels so great out. And I was able to walk about 2-3 miles (a bad day to forget to wear my Fitbit) along the Mississippi River and downtown.
Now I feel great! It has felt like a long winter. I am thinking I need to start getting walks in before work instead of just my indoor treadmill/elliptical routine.
For those whose winter just ended, Are you taking advantage of the spring weather?

In my place since we are having humidity at all times then I will say I feel lazy to walk outside but in late afternoon when it is not longer hot then I can walk to the nearby beach and or sit down in the sand.

That looks amazing! I wish I had places to walk to that looked like that haha I keep my exercising indoors because it is already getting pretty hot here.

I live in Minneapolis. Are you in a rural area? I see your profile says Arizona. I tend to drive around to find different places to walk, but this area is near the inner city that I live in, maybe a few miles away. We have some excellent trails and parks, although it's hard finding DRY ones this time of year, especially with the onslaught of snow we got in February. Do you have any parks or trails nearby? I recently went to Arizona (in November) and found lots of hiking trails, but they were all pretty far from each other and required some driving. But, beautiful landscape!

@maezee I am in more suburban/urban kind of place. just outside of the metropolitan area. I can't dry o it wouldn't be easy for me to find places to walk to haha I have walked every neighborhood in a 5 mile radius here. I can't hike so I avoid all that, I have really bad ankles and knees so I prefer a flat ground haha!

While we've had some warmer days, we've also had a lot of windy days recently. Walking with the wind would be easy enough, but walking back again might not be so much fun. The winds here today are 15mph with gusts up to 25mph, so, even though I did get outside a bit, I think I might just stay inside.
Tomorrow we may get some slick weather at night it sounds like again even though the daytime temps won't be too bad and on Friday it may get back into the fifties again. If I do go outside rather than walking, I might do some hoeing. That would be a different type of exercise, but maybe I can get my weeds out before they begin growing again for the next season.
Your picture looks great. Is that water the Mississippi river?

ooh that's chilly! for me anyway. the picture is beautiful, though. I love days like that with no clouds in the sky and the air feels crisp.
