Some people need to get a life I think. What's it matter? I think we're earning whatever the topic is. I've had people go back and forth on my posts sometimes and it hasn't really involved me. I just leave them to it. I'm pleased if they're having fun. I'm glad you're able to laugh about it. I hope they huffed off at that point and left you alone.

My guess it was one of the control freaks that haunt this site.

As I have seen your discussion I have read the Guidelines, line after line... where is it written that we cannot change the subject??? Tell this person to post a screenshot of this "rule" because it does not seem to exist.

This is really rather sad. I find that the comment threads that wander off topic are usually the most fun. Apparently, this person doesn't feel the same way.

Oh my! That person was a little testy, weren't they? I don't mind at all if someone goes off topic. It can be really interesting.

I hate when things like that happen. No reason not to go off topic if someone has something on their mind. If everyone starts taking offense at the smallest things and starts to get offended we are not going to have a friendly discussion site. I have always lived by the philosophy that unpleasantness turns me off and upsets me greatly and if I have ever run up against people who are constantly upsetting me I just turn away from them.

Well I didn't know this was a rule, I chat with people on their posts all the time and sometimes we go off topic. Is that a "no, no" that wasn't added. lol

Well goodness, I thought that comments made on people's posts earned them money, not the other way around... Oops, I guess I was wrong.

I can't remember that being a problem on mylot back in the days so I was surprised when I heard that it was an issue now. Very dramatic too, "for their own greed". Oh deary me. No, I don't pity you :-) Unless you want me to? ;-)

I'm sorry someone got huffy with you. I see it all the time, but nobody has dissed me for it, yet. No pity necessary. Just move on and not worry about it.
