@LowRiderX Sensible lady, salad is supposed to be much better than bread, which is what people usually bring. The swans here sleep on the ice when parts of the river freezes, but then they're used to it. The Danube doesn't freeze that often, does it?

@Torunn The Danube does not freeze every year, it depends on the winter and only certain parts (along the coast) That swan that stuck his leg into the ice, probably happened during the night while he was sleeping (at least she assumes that it happened) And that what you say about the bread, you're right, people feeding them mainly with bread. @MALUSE Thank you for sharing this. All species of Swans living in Serbia are strictly protected species. Even if they are allowed for eating, I think that I would never be able to do it, it is a real detriment to kill such beautiful birds. By the way, I thought Royal Family was the favorite quail meat
