My given name is, Brigitte. It's French & means strength. My first name isn't common & the way it's spelled, even less so. Whenever anyone spells my name for the first time, they spell it the Irish way. Which has a D in it. Whereas mine doesn't. What is the origin & meaning of your name?

@Gospin I was aware of belief in multiple deities. Does each one represent different qualities or things they protect, for example?

@GypsyButterfly I think famous warrior can refer to the battle of life not just in war although I'm a reserve officer cause I finished my ROTC.

@louievill That's true about battle of life. We all have our struggles and situations we need to push through. I knew someone who had been in the ROTC here. But, I don't think he pursued anything with it.

Hi, Louie. Have you been in the military? Though, if you have, perhaps not so famous. Very few have that distinction.

Some of the names on the photo above are unique. Not English, maybe? My name is Sol which means the Sun.

Hi, JB. I now that sol is Spanish for sun. Is part of your heritage Spanish? Some of the names above would be Irish, German, Dutch, French, Italian & such.

You share your name with a very famous Brigitte as in Bardot.

That's what I tell people. Mine is French, like Brigitte Bardot. Of course, those under 45 or who aren't culturally aware may not know who she is. So, I don't say it to everyone.
