Why do you work so hard?

I’ve made around $200,000 dollars last week. Of course it is by playing an online video game and it is not real money. It just shows up as that value. When you think of what I might spend it on, a pair of shoes to be used in the game for example costs about the same as what I made in a week. You do wonder why. Is it the money or is it just a game?
Do you sometimes wonder why you do what you do? When I look at the cost of things we buy like internet fees that they charge in our real life so that I can use it, I wonder the same thing.

@mynameiskate Occasionally I will buy a package to play in the game. That's what my myLot earnings are for. Though mostly they go for emergencies.

I don't mind paying or in the case of a free game playing as long as it is worth it. I had this kind of discussion with a friend that thought one coffee place was better than another because it was much cheaper. I said I don't mind paying more because I enjoy the atmosphere and comfortable chair at the one I went to.
When I first wrote this topic was thinking it is all like a game. The political might could do something for us to get our vote so we have more money but then take it all way with higher taxes. That happens to me in every game I play at the next new level. ha ha

@MGjhaud Good to be someone of action. Makes sense and gets things done. That is very important. Did you ever do anything or buy something and wonder why you had? I think most people have.

Hello again, Kate.
I usually have too many brands in the fire to have time to wonder about why I (or anyone else) do things the way we do. (I will admit that I sometimes get the giggles when watching someone else doing something I consider strange/odd, though. But I rarely care why they did whatever it was, as long as it didn't/doesn't impact me, at least.)
I do hope you're having a nice day!

@mynameiskate Ahh... I see now.
Yes, I will agree that marketing does seem like some kind of game they/we play. They seeing how gullible we are and we laughing and choosing what suits us the best.
The reason I prefer to ignore marketing is because I prefer to have hard facts about different things without the flowery cover-up marketing uses to confuse us.
It may take me a few tries before I understand where you or others are going with something but I do eventually reach the same target! *smiling at you*

I referred to internet cost that is the cost of using the internet. In that case the people that market products will affect you? We can make any decision we want or spend our time any way we want to but not caring might get us in deep water?
For example, I find marketing strategies these days much like a game, as would be gambling or playing the stock market. One difference between playing a free online game and playing with our money is a free game is not as serious except if you include internet costs. ha ha

@DaddyEvil Not being difficult. We both have limited time. Though I have time to spare I will spread it out in areas to my liking. We might be talking about two different things.
It sounds great that you are able to cut out any annoying adverts you don't want to see. Like at the front door we may not want to be bothered by solicitors. And we can take steps to control that.
I was thinking when we do spend our money or our time we want the best possible value but this is not always the case. If we are operating on debt or borrowed time even more critical. - and it is like a game they/we play

I've been at this game for a while now and still seem to enjoy it just to pass the time and relax I suppose. If you thought you wanted to try it let me know and I can tell you how to find me.

I'm retired but I noticed some jobs pay more with less work. What if I may ask do you think about? I like putting in an effort simply because it is a challenge or because it is there like the moon. Go to the moon, sure why not!

I suppose you feel money is not easy to come by so try to be careful with your purchases. That's wise.

I think a lot before doing things. Some I do for purpose, some for fun and some for both.
