During childhood, most of us have the habit if listening to bedtime stories and some people like reading stories before sleeping.
I somehow can't enjoy a story if I am sleepy. My best friend always reads stories before sleeping. She gets transported to a different world, brfore entering her dream world,

@Sheali writing and reading do seem to go hand in hand.

I remember myself reading some bedtime stories for my daughter then. She loves it when I am doing it.

I don’t. Usually I work before I go to sleep. I don’t have time to read stories anymore

I used to read before bed all the time when I was a child. I have not done it in a while. Sometimes, it helps me relax and wind down, but if I am reading something that really speaks to me or is especially engaging, then it just revs up my body & mind and makes it impossible to go to sleep. So it all depends.
I did compile a list I found online of 100 or so classics everyone should read - it has everything on it from the Bible to Harry Potter. I have just started on that list with books I already own, so I'll probably be reading before sleeping a lot more soon.

@Sheali I used to but not so much now. I actually adore reading but I haven't been in the mood to read for a very long time. Hoping that will change soon.

My husband and I used to every day and every night up until our children were in high school. Now, we read to ourselves.
