Lemon juice has many benefits, one of the superfoods they say. And for days now, i have been drinking of lemon juice with no sugar as it is good for our kidney. It is super sour but i try to bear with it. I have no honey available here. I dont trust the commercial honey anymore. Have you ever tried lemon juice with no sugar?

In the morning and with hot to warm and not cold water, also before any meal. In traditional medicine it does not only cleanse the kidneys but could also break up stones. Believe it or not emon turns alkaline in our body if the body is acidic so we get the same benefits from drinking alkaline water.

You are right lemon has the amazing benefits. It should drink at early morning in empty stomach without adding sugar or salt. It should boil along with its cover, squeezing out the juice. The bitterness on shells will work like an antibiotic for those have kidney problems. Try for one month.

I can't imagine doing that--it has a lot of acid, and that torments my stomach. It's good for vitamin C, though!

Believe it or not, lemon juice may taste sour but it produces alkaline for our body.so it is always advised that once you are acidic just drink lemon juice.

That's right, lemon is of great benefit to health. In Venezuela we have unrefined sugar called panela or papelón that substitutes honey very well, and with which we sweeten the lemonade, whether cold or hot.

@karibe i know this. But here the shape is round. When we were kids, we ate this, but this one can be bought in the supermarket not by block but by powder. It costs here 3.5 usd per kilo

Oh, it is also called muscavado here. I use the same here, it’s triple the price of an ordinary sugar.

@Janet357 Right now, because of the difficult socioeconomic situation of the country, papelon or panela is a cheaper alternative to refined sugar, but not much.

Of course when I have the flu I always drink it, and only the sour taste is most felt in the tongue.

Perhaps you should tone it down a little bit as it could be too acidic for your stomach!

Yes. I put now little sugar. But would believe gary that when you are acidic, doctors advise you to drink lemon juice, lemon juice produces alkaline. At first i didnt believe it, but it is true. Because i am acidic but when i drink it, it simply is cured.

I drink it in a glass of water without sugar. Be sure to brush your teeth afterwards, because it's bad for your teeth.

Lemon juice is healthy, but it is sour without sugar. Usually I will add honey for it so that it will taste better.

No, but I'm dying of thirst... I think that it was the biscuits that I made... I added 1/8 of a cup of parmesan cheese to the recipe. Maybe I need to cut back even more!!
