I was just thinking about the min payment here of 5 American dollars. In Ireland 5 American dollars wont buy much. Is it worth more in other countries.5 Dollars here would buy one average pair of socks. How many pairs of socks would you get in your country for 5 American dollars.

Not here, I would get about the same in socks I think. I think I would get about 80 % of a decent pair of socks, maybe 100 % of a not so decent pair of socks.
Could also 1.75 litres of cola zero and a very small chocolate. If I manage 6 dollars I'd get a chai latte by Starbucks, the smallest on to take out

At Ross Dept. Store, you can get 3 pairs of socks and get change especially going on Tues. Senior Discount Day if you qualify. You can get 2 packages of 2.75 oz of Werhter's original caramel coffee hard candy that's sugar free going for 2.36 each bag or 3 bags of David's Shelled Sunflower Seeds going for 1.67 each for 3.75 oz. Can you tell I went shopping this morning? It's where you shop and what you'd like to buy. You can get some ice cream on sale for a box of 6 ice cream bars 2.50 on sale. Not so bad. I thought that Hawaii cost of living is high, but Ireland seems to be even higher than we are.

The cost of living here is high especially in the capital Dublin. Renting or buying a home has become impossible for most. A very average 3 bed home in an average area is now about 350,000.00 euro to buy or 2000.00 euro per month to rent. Food is expensive too as are most things. It costs between 80 to 70 euro to see a doctor and medicine is really expensive.

Euro? Wait got to search converter. It's a 1.12 to 1 Euro. It's just like living in Hawaii, except you can find a 1 million dollar condo locally too.The 350K Euro is cheap for a house with 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. But food is really good prices for we get weekly sales from most stores or just good prices at Walmart.

Where I life we go to target I can $1 for 1-2 pairs of sock so 5-6 pairs total. I could also get a just a coffee, 2 sodas, I could go to McDonald’s and buy some lunch for myself and maybe a few other people from the value menu.

hmm for $5 I could buy half a drink from Starbucks
i'm kidding, you could buy a few candy bars with $5. I honestly don't know how much socks are, I haven't bought them in so long

If I'm willing to make a two-hour round trip, I can buy 5 lbs worth of quilt fabric remnants that I can use to make a quilt (or two or three).
