At the emergency room

This last night I spent almost all night awake as my daughter had high temperature frequently. Every 4 hours she need medication. She is complaining she is feeling pain in her throat and body. We are now at the ER, the doctor has already seen her and we are waiting for her exams results. She has a sore throat for sure but the doctor doesn't know if it is a virus or a bacteria.

If it is a bacteria she will need antibiotics. My poor little girl, she has just started her Easter holidays and this is not a good way to start. Hope you all have a good Sunday.

Oh, my! I’m so sorry to hear that! I hope some medicine will cure her so she will be able to enjoy the rest of her vacation. That happened to me several times when I was on vacation. Not much fun at all.

@nela13 Sleep is the best thing for her. Keep an eye on that fever, and I hope you don’t have to return to the ER.

We are already at home and she Is sleeping now. The exam was negative for bacteria but we must keep giving her paracetamol and ibuprofen to relief the symptons. If she isn't better tomorrow I must go back with her.

@nela13 I am glad that it's not bacteria. I hope the ibuprofen and paracetamol can help to make her feel a bit better.

The exam is negative for bacteria, now we must keep given her ibuprofen and paracetamol to relief the symptoms. If she keeps this way I have to go back to the ER again.

@LadyDuck It will take more time to her to be okay, but I know It Is better for her not taking the antibiotic.

My son is getting sick too. He lost his voice on Saturday, and on Sunday he started complaining about a sore throat. Today he did not go to school because he felt so fatigued. So far, he hasn't had a fever, but I'll be keeping an eye on him to make sure his body temperate doesn't spike.

@nela13 He is still sick, but it just seems like a really bad cold, not necessarily the flu. I think he just needs rest, and so this weekend I told him to just sleep as much as possible and let his body do some healing. If he's still feeling bad on Monday, then I will take him to the doctor.

I'm sorry.. I believe that the virus, we were all sick in the last few days, the doctors told us that from winter they are trying to cure people.

For now she won't need antibiotics as the exam result is negative for bacteria.
