I gave hubby a list for the store. One of the things I wanted was banana pepper pickled rings.
I got them.
80 oz. of them. That is more than one half gallon. that is more than 2 1/3 Liters.
I will be making salads and sandwiches with them for quite a while.
I had to struggle to find a place the jar would fit in the refrigerator. It is very tall.

We will enjoy them for a few months. They set things off well. There were very good in my mixed bean salad.

They are not hot peppers, pretty mild. I like them fresh too.

The glass jars are good for storage once they are empty.

I did not know this size existed. He asked me about a large jar, I thought he meant a quart.

I have learned to be very specific with lists for my husband. I also tell him if they don't have it don't get anything or else I get a big surprise. If substitutes are needed, I just say or closed to what is on the list. Men, what are we gonna do with them?

@GardenGerty I have six new banana pepper plants that I need to get planted. Hopefully, that will happen tomorrow or this weekend at the latest.

These are often served at salad bars and on Subway sandwiches if you like them. He asked about a "big jar" and I thought about a quart, obviously, this is MUCH bigger, but we will enjoy them.

I probably phrased it wrong, but it is delicious. A yellow sweet pepper with a little bit of heat, pickled like a dill pickle, salty and a little sour.

It is a very mildly spicy pepper, it has a salt brine, not a sweet brine.

Sounds very different. I do not look at peppers as sweet at all. We have regular and spicy ones here.

These are called banana peppers because they are long and yellow. They do not taste like bananas.
