What does your child get from the Tooth Fairy?

My daughter has always gotten a small toy of some kind, sometimes real small like a collectible tin from the candy isle. Lately it has been slightly bigger because losing her wiggly tooth really gives her anxiety so the tooth fairy has rewarded her with small dolls. She wonders why her friends get different things. A lot of them get money, some get a lot of money! I told her the tooth fairy must know that she likes to have toys to play with right away :)
So what does your kid get from the tooth fairy?

Thanks I have heard of toys and candy also, but I know most give money. Our tooth fairy probably knows that my kids are very indecisive lol. If they get money, they never can decide what they want and it ends up in an envelope forever :-D

When my girls were little they all got money. I never gave them a lot, just a couple of dollars and maybe a $5 for the big molars. One of my daughters called me freaking out not too long ago because someone in her daughter's class at school got $50 from the Tooth Fairy. I think this is way too much and also puts a burden on the other kids by feeling disappointed in only getting $1.00 or $5.00.
Small toys are a good idea!

@vivasuzi Kids get enjoyment from playing and they really don't care if it cost $2.00 or $200.00. The goal should be to make them happy and give something they enjoy. This family with the $50 payout will be giving their kid's false expectations. You don't always get a handout throughout life.

WOW :-O That is a lot! I think with the toys it also made it so the tooth fairy didn't have to worry about a certain amount to keep up with the jones' lol. My daughter gets just as much enjoyment from some cheap toys as she does from some expensive toys so we try not to go overboard in that area at all.
Now I need to go to bed for real :) Thanks for discussing lol

@kareng Yep that's just nuts. My kids love things like mashems which only cost a few dollars. My youngest gets over joyed when I give her a new mashem - and she actually plays with them A LOT lol. She lines them up, squishes them, hides then in her buckets and toys, etc etc. It's fun and cute how excited she gets :)

Tooth Fairies in my family have always brought some money. And, BTW, in my language it is not a tooth fairy who brings it. It is a bunny. The bunny needs teeth to replace his front teeth if needed so he trades the childĀ“s tooth for money.

@vivasuzi We have the Easter bunny too. It is imported, of course. When I was a child, the holy week had to do with Christ, not with bunnies.
