Hello everyone.
A while back with friends just chatting and making dinner plan.
We decided to have them over at our place.
They offer to bring dessert.Great I loved it.It is nice when someone else do this.
Wondering what they are going to make.
Dinner party came to our house. The usual drinks, snack, etc.
Mike was doing preparing dinner.
Good conversation.Time for dinner.Then dessert.
I saw the person who offer to bring dessert and waiting for her to give it to me so that I can put in the fridge.
We sat down had dinner and her boyfriend says what for dessert?
They look stunned.Told Joyce you were supposed to bring it.
Oh well forget.mike came up with something. Ice cream or strawberries.
I hate when they forget what they offer.
the funny part it did not faze her?
then said to myself.Guess I will have to have a back up the next time.

I always try to have something in the freezer so I'm not caught short-handed it I need a dessert. There have been times when I had nothing to offer. Funny how your guest wasn't phased that she didn't bring anything.

When I used to have friends and family over I hated when they would do this. No I never have back up dessert. After a few times I was over it and never allowed anyone to offer to bring anything.

Oh dear. If I would have forgotten I would have been so humiliated.
Alas no - I don't often keep sweets around because if I do.... I eat them lol

I think that is frustrating and you are already looking forward because they promised to bring it.Yes I think it is better to have a spare to prepare just in case.
