It's time for spring cleaning

Spring has finally sprung and the sun makes it very clear that my windows are dirty. I have had spring cleaning outside in the stables, that was actually quite nice as it was outside in the sun. I have not done anything with all my things in the stable, they're all covered with dun hair. Haven't done much with my flat either, but have now come so far that I've cleaned the windows in the living room and washed the stove. Anyone else wanting to be outside instead of inside, trying to organize and hoover?

I used to do it too, but now I prefer to hire someone to do that. I barely have time for my family, that's why I decided to bring someone once a month to do a thorough clean out. It was a good decision .

That is getting increasingly popular here too. If you have a good cleaning once a month the rest of the month it's fairly easy to keep up with what's necessary

@Kasjnak You won't regret that choice I think :-) I'm leaving the spring cleaning to itself for the day, off to dinner. I think this must be finished one step at the time

@Torunn exactly. And you have more time for things that matter the most, in my case spending more time with my wife and son .

I am torn right now between cleaning the inside and working in the garden. But neither will happen today sadly--just too much to do.

I don't have a garden, but I'd much rather do things on my veranda than hoover ...

@Torunn Me too! Our garden is overrun from winter--so there is lots of work to be done!

@divalounger I'm nearly envious! Even at an overrun garden, I love working outside but I don't really want a house. A flat is more than enough of indoor work

Outside is great now. Have to enjoy it while it lasts! Supposed to be 2 degrees and rain/slush again in some days.

My house is fairly clean, due to recent moving. I am ready to plant some flowers for summer though.

I have already done something of this job, but I'm waiting for the painting of the room, they announced the rain in the next couple of days, and when it stops, I'm starting with great storage.

Painting is a bit of a nuisance. Do you do it all yourself? I might paint the ceilings again this summer, they get sooty from the fireplace

@LowRiderX More helpful than my dad, he's supposed to help me fasten some stuff behind the fireplace. It's ten years since I put the fire place in, so he's in no hurry :-)

It's 20 degrees Celsius here, that's actually really warm for this time of the year, but I suppose it's much warmer in your part of the world?

@Tonietta Do you have a pool you can dip in? Or are you stuck in the sun? I could go for a dip in the fjord but the water is about +5 degrees, so that would be too cool

@Torunn yes very hot here in our place that most of the day you would just wanted to dip in the pool:)

I have been spring cleaning inside and also started on the outside. Once the warmer weather will be here I will finish off the outside!

I started both then stopped in the middle, so will consider with which I should continue now

I want to be outside. I need to get out and trim the fence of vines. They grow every year and get really out of control. I could spend all day and night just dusting around this house.

Dusting feels like a never-ending task, doesn't it? Dusting and hoovering, once you're finished you just have to start all over. Maybe outdoorsy things are more satisfying 'cause they often last for at least half a year.
