Do you miss your old friends?

Sometimes when I stop to think about the great old friendships that I have (some of them from childhood) I find myself thinking about how important they are.
Today, some of them live far from me (in other cities or countries), but the friendship remains the same when we talk or when we meet.
Oh, my... How I miss my old friends!

I missed the friends I grew up with especially one friend who was my friend from 6th grade through high school. Somewhere we lost track and then I moved to Latvia. We found each other over the Internet and wrote emails. Then I lost my husband and wanted to come back to the US. Guess what? I am now living in an apartment in her house and she is living with her family below me. Talk about a small world.

@WiseGhots Some of them remain. Some may be different, as you know, sometimes people change a lot as time goes by.

I have only been back twice to the States after moving to Israel in 1986. I am not the same person I was when i lived there so do not have things in common with the people I left behind.

I miss them when I get some time to think about it in my busy schedule. Those were carefree days and those friends still mean a lot. Though we are all so far, we still feel connected.

I've never been great at friendships! I have a lot of acquaintances, and I have a couple of friends who are very much 'haven't spoken for years but feels like yesterday' when we bump into each other.
There is only really one friend I actually miss. That's someone who was, for a long time, my best friend. I'd even go so far as to say he was my only true friend in a lot of ways. He disappeared for a while. He came back and our friendship resumed. Then he disappeared again but for longer this time. He returned once more but then disappeared again. I've tried to get back in touch and find him again but I don't think he wants to be found. I know he had some issues but I have wondered if I was too over-bearing with him or if I expected too much from the friendship. I certainly miss him.

Yes, old friendships are something totally different. They will never be forgotten.

My memories keep me from missing them. They're still with me in my heart.

I tend to have a rosy memory (meaning I remember things as being nicer than they actually were). I miss my friends, but I don't usually feel an urge to reconnect with them. I enjoyed the time I spent with them, but I'm a different person now.
