Craving Cinnamon Rolls

We have a chilly morning today. It was 59 when I woke up and it has been being in high 60's and very comfortable. I brewed my coffee and immediately started wishing I had some fresh cinnamon rolls to go along with my coffee. I love pastries with coffee and haven't indulged in some time. Instead I am having the regular grits and eggs which is my go-to breakfast. What are you having for breakfast today? Or are you a brunch person on Sundays?

We only have cinnamon buns on Christmas morning around here. Our Sunday usual is bacon, sausages, eggs, hash browns, waffles, fresh fruit and toast.

@Marty1 I could go for a BLT sandwich, but not going to happen because of the sodium content.

Ohhhh - cinnamon rolls sound good - we make them from scratch but not often. I will have my coffee for sure, but I'm not sure about breakfast yet - everyone is still asleep .

Cinnamon rolls or anything sweet would be my idea of a nice Sunday breakfast. Instead I had the usual toast with peanut butter

I agree. That is the ultimate breakfast for me. If I had it often I'd be as big as a house. lol

We usually have brunch on the weekends, but after our morning walk just had water, an omelet, and coffee at home. We ate out too many times the last few days and are watching our weight.

I'm fixing to start watching mine. I have to see if losing weight will help my knees and hips. Otherwise, I'm having a knee replacement done in the near future. My sciatica is also going crazy.

@Marty1 Omelets are not hard to make. Just chop up what you want to go in it, saute, add eggs and flip it. Give it a try. Or you can add eggs first and then put your add-ins in the pan and then flip or roll it.

I just had a couple of granola bars. I'll probably have some yogurt in a little bit. I used to make a big breakfast for my husband on Sundays; but I can't do that anymore.

If my hubby would not sleep half the day away we could cook a big breakfast here. He ends up staying up all night because he can't sleep when in pain and then he sleeps all day. Going back to work will be interesting to say the least.

@LindaOHio I retired in 2017 after I had a stroke. I'm hoping he will get his paperwork in order and retire soon. He says 1-2 years but he needs to earlier. He has worked in so many different law enforcement areas and departments, that he needs to get his time transferred over to count toward retirement. Hopefully, this won't take long to do.

It is a hot cereal made from finely ground corn meal. You boil them in water, add salt and pepper and some butter until the water boils out and grits are tender.

I don't like cinnamon rolls. I drink tea in the evening but not on a daily basis. I like to eat puri with any pulses or some fried items as a breakfast on Sunday or egg toast .
