This year we have decided not to sell our coconuts but keep them to extract coconut oil. We will first need to dry them in the sun and send them to the oil mill. I use coconut oil for my hair. Curry leaves are fried in it till they turn black The leaves are then discarded and the oil gets a blackish colour. This oil is good for thehair

It is always nice to grow as much as you can of your own items. I learned new things just now about curry leaves and processing coconut for oil.

I thought you would just use the coconut oil on its own. What properties do the curry leaves impart?

That is great to know that you are going to make your own oil from the coconut. I am very much familiar with the process when I was a child. But no one is doing this thing any more now a days.

In fact I haven't tried the coconut oil yet. It is not available here. Here the most popular may be the corn oil or peanut oil.
