we all love sandwiches, let's admit it. they can be our breakfast, lunch or dinner, depending on where you live.
And we are free to put whatever appeals to our tastebuds.
A lot of people put meat, lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes on their bread. My grandma put three layers of stuff: first layer is tuna with mayo, then egg, and white cheese.
i love putting egg with mayo on my dough, or some crunchy peanut butter. but my fave one is white cheese and spicy tuna with mayo.
what about you friends? what do you put on your bread?

Actually, I don't make too many sandwiches but when I do one of my favorites is a layer of tuna salad and a layer of egg salad. A really two-handed sandwich. When I crave them I got to a pizza place and get a cold Italian sub.

When she mentioned tuna salad and then egg on top that didn't sound good to me. But I forgot, temporarily that we do add egg to our tuna salad sandwiches, so that would be about the same thing. I've never done tuna salad with egg salad on top but it does sound good although I think a lot of that would fall out of the sandwich before it's eaten. Maybe our way of adding hard boiled eggs to the tuna salad works better. And don't forget the onion.

I can easily eat a piece of bread with just butter, but I try to stay away from it as much as possible. On days like today when it's colder in the house, I have to work to resist the temptation to pig out on bread. So far, I've only had a couple of pieces of cinnamon bread with butter and after toasting it first.
It's not too late, maybe one piece wouldn't hurt.

@Janet357 And to want to eat warmer foods to help one warm up more.Any warmth gained, though, is short-lived once it's down the gullet.

It might sound very simple but to me, butter on toasted bread is the best.

@Janet357 , Not with butter, and I forgot to add my favorite two breads, Italian and a special rye bread, made in Brooklyn, New York. Bread is excellent with chili soup and other soups. The only time I put sugar on bread is with cinnamon and butter to make cinnamon toast. Of course, the old favorite of the family is peanut butter and strawberry preserves sandwich with a glass of cold milk. Bread is the staff of life.

I try not to eat bread because it spikes my sugar....but if I do I like tuna with mayo or deli meat and cheese

I love putting all of the above, but what about spreading something sweet like peanut butter, Nutella, or melted chocolate on it? I have done it before and it turns into a delicious snack in the afternoon!
