Is Sunscreen necessary?

with the hole in the ozone layer, nobody is immune to skin cancer or sun damage.By HotlantaVoyeur - Flickr: DSC07066s, CC BY 2.0, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=23802698

with the deterioration of the ozone layer in the atmosphere, everybody should wear sunscreen all the time when they are outside, even in winter and even in colder climates. And yes, even if you are olive-skinned and even if you are of African descent, you are not immune to skin cancer, dark spots and aging from the sun's rays. How about you? Do you wear sunscreen? What number SPF do you use? As a young girl, I was an avid sun worshipper. If I could give my younger self any advice it would be to use bronzer or spray tan and not take sun directly on my skin. I now have dark spots and other discoloration and I am deathly afraid of developing skin cancer.

@fec139 Yes, I wear it all the time. I try to get number 30 or more.

Unlike you, I am not an avid fan of sunscreen when I was younger but due to age and the ozone layer I started to use them to protect my skin

I am not a fan of sunscreen either. For me, it's a necessary evil due to my failure to apply it in my younger days. Now, I need to use products that diminish my dark spots and I use sunscreen to prevent any new sun damage
