The Keto or Ketogenic diet is revamped for a new millennium. It started with Dr Atkins in the 1990s and now it is more modern. Basically, the ketogenic diet is good for quick weight loss, but you can't stay on it forever. It's a diet low in carbohydrates and high in good fats and lean proteinin. I did it and lost 20 pounds in a month but gained most of it back when I went off of it, even though I still ate healthy foods. What about you? Have you tried "going Keto?". Did you lose weight and if you did, did you keep the weight off?

@fec139 I won't stay on Keto all of the time. This time around I've been on it for three weeks, but I always try and stay low carb, because I'm a diabetic and want to stay medication free.

I've heard about both those diets but I don't like fads. I prefer to choose healthy foods to eat and maintain a balanced diet with fruits, veggies, fish and meat. I'm not losing weight but then I'm not gaining either and it's been that way since I retired.

It made me very very sick I had to go back to eating carbs I was not able for it. I did lose weight but to my detriment.
