My mom left me on the market

I know that sounds bad but that's what happened. Here's the full story
This morning we went to the market together to shop for our needs. We rarely go together to the market because, you know, I really don't like being on the market.
Everything lasted normally until my mom told me to wait for her in the parking lot because she wanted to buy something. As a good child, I obeyed and waited for her without any suspicion, until I felt she had left too long.
I then tried to call her to ask where she was. Strangely, as soon as she picked up the phone, she immediately asked me where I was. And how shocked I was that she had been home. I was surprised and asked her why she could go home without me. Apparently she forgot to go with me, thought she was going to the market alone and went home with taxi.
Hah, I should have remembered that my mom was a person who easily forgot, even in the presence of her own child
Luckily, I brought my own vehicle

Ya, luckily I was carrying a vehicle. If not, I might go home on foot

See what you get by not liking to go to the market with your mom. If you go with her more often she'll remember you are with her and this won't happen.

@kasmakarim Well I thought she is old already but she is young. What I am afraid of is she on being on early signs of Alzheimers where she forgets everything. But I guess since she is just in her 40s then I think that its habitual forgetfulness that she is encountering.

She is around 40 years old. I know she is easy to forget about something but I'm sure she won't harm herself because of that.

@rsa101 I don't think it's a sign of Alzheimer's because I think forget about small things is a normal behavior. I often forget about something too but will be able to remember it a few moments later.

@kasmakarim It's still good that your mother still remembers her wallet, and that is really a meaningful experience

Hahaha, of course. I don't want to experience things that happened again. Just this once.

I don't think that's as serious as you think. That's a common thing considering I also often forget about small things too.

I’m guessing this will be a family story that will be told many times. Glad you had a car...My daughter was 4 years old when I had my second child. She and I got into the car and left going somewhere and I realized I left the baby in his car seat on the kitchen table. Yikes, I turned the car as soon as I could and rushed home, thinking I’d find him on the floor. He was sound asleep and I never forgot him again...that was scary...

Oh, it's pretty scary that know you accidently forget your baby Luckily I experienced this incident where I was big enough to be able to go home by myself
