I usually take my breakfast early, most of the times before 8 am, so I always need a snack in mid-morning. Today I have rye toasts with sesame seeds, prunes and hazelnuts.
Do you usually have snacks during the day? What do you usually eat as snack?

Yes I do have mid morning snacks. It is generally some fruit and nuts. Some days I have some fresh juice or buttermilk.

@nela13 Yes. I am recommended that for my diabetes. Snacks are quite important for me as I have to eat at frequent intervals.

It depends. I have nothing specific, it depends on what I like to eat in that moment

@nela13 Yes, understandable. I do not think about it because I'm mostly home

I usually will bring fruit, such as blueberries, oranges or apples, as a snack. I also will keep nuts around for snacking as well, such as walnuts, pecans and sunflower seeds. Much healthier than some of the other junk food snacks that are available.

@nela13 We have many healthy choices too, it's just that Americans are hooked on junk food and fast food. But it's slowly changing. Everybody is starting to see how badly our health is affected by all that garbage we eat.

@moffittjc it is happening the same here, people are now more conscious about what we should eat.

@nela13 I sometimes buy it at the store. I've never made it myself, but maybe I should look into that.

I would take some roasted almonds as mid morning snacks, it helps in satiating hunger pangs.
