Does she want to leave office?

It is quite weird that she often asks for a leave during the work time. This afternoon, as "usual", she asks for a leave again like yesterday afternoon. I don't know what she's going to do but just leaving a pile of papers to be done. We just had a weekly meeting this morning, then usually it will be much work to be arranged. I hardly have time to get up from my chair to have some water...ever get a stretch for myself. Do you think she wants to leave office? What's the sign if someone wants to leave office.

I think this is a sign that she is trying to find another job before to quit.

@LadyDuck yes, it is so obvious.Maybe she longs for a better income or salary or cannot tackle different tasks assigned to her. That is always the case, if one no longer likes the boss, better resign

I think there could be many reasons why she wants to leave the office, from professional to personal. You do not mention whether the person is a manager or a member of staff; but if they are leaving the office and actually they do not have permission, they should be having a chat with their manager. Certainly in the jobs I have been in, that would have been a case of a formal meeting about an employees ability to discharge their duties.

Might be personal reasons.

If it is not personal things, it is likely your colleague wants to quit. She may have an interview.

@raski, you may be correct, she does not like to work in that office, perhaps she lacks the potential to do all tasks assigned to her.She better quit.

That might be a signal for that. But still it is not professional and one should make her understand. Till she actually quits officially, she is being paid and should work well.

It could be, maybe she wants something else now. She gave any reason for the leave?

She is a lazy employee or perhaps does not like to work there anymore. She should be investigated by the head.

@Behindtheguitarbar that's nice at least she realized it's hard to find a job this time due to global crises and competitions.

well, still the same, but no more leaves now. Glad that the work could be arranged by two people.

That’s actually one sign because it is what usually happens to my colleagues here who wants to resign from work. They start from not reporting to work for several days.
