How often do you check your watch?

I never really thought about this question until three days ago when I got my digital watch, described in another discussion I wrote from a few days ago. The watch turns off its digital display after five seconds or so to save battery, I assume. I have to touch it to make it turn on so I can see what time it is. Well, this morning I was checking my watch about once every three minutes. Apparently I do this to keep track of how soon I need to leave the house. I'm pretty regimented in the morning: Get up Do devotions Get dressed (those three take 30 minutes) Make and eat breakfast Change or scoop cat litter Make sure cat has food and water Clean up any mess Take out trash (those take the next 30 minutes) I have to be out the door after that hour or I will be late to work. Apparently I keep myself on schedule by checking my watch a lot! I'm going to keep track today how many times I have to turn on the watch. In my classroom I have a clock at the back which I glance at so I don't usually check my watch during classes (I think not anyway... maybe I will learn differently.) I have a feeling I check it a lot from going home till bedtime because my schedule then is pretty tight too, to get myself in bed so I can get up early the next morning. How about you?

I have a cell phone which I sometimes check but I don't have a fixed schedule anymore so unless I have an appointment I do not need to check the time.

I have been retired since 2010 and am so happy to be able to do exactly as I please most of the time @petatonicsca The best part is that I can go to bed when I want knowing I can sleep for as long as I need to. I love it.

I think it would bother me to not have a fixed schedule, although I am looking forward to summer break for that very reason. After a couple of weeks, though, I will need to make myself a schedule or I will go nuts and also not get anything done.

I don't usually have my phone with me, and it turns off just like my new watch. I like to be able to look at something that doesn't turn off. When I'm on the computer, of course I use the top bar clock.

Well, when I'm bored I always check the time and it's so slow, but when I'm doing something the time runs fast! It's so very awesome since we can do our chores properly

I work at home so I do not wear a watch around the house. When I work at my PC I check the time on the PC now and then.

I hope you enjoy working at home! I would probably wear a watch even then.

I have an Apple Watch so I check it all the time. I get text message notifications, FB notifications, I can check my heart rate, my calories burned, my activity, etc. I love it!

One reason I did not go for an Apple Watch is that I really do not want to be quite that available (message, phone, FB etc.). Also because it cost over four times as much as this one. Of course, I know that this one might fall apart four times as fast, too. It's supposed to give me a weather report as well as time, calories, blood pressure and heart rate, but I can't get that part to work. I would enjoy having the QuakeWatch app on my watch because I like to get notifications when earthquakes occur.

I haven't worn a watch in years. I think the last time I wore a watch I was in high school. Now I just check the time on my phone. Or on my computer, when I'm using my computer.

When I work online I have a look at the computer clock several times. When I work around the house I check my wrist watch to see if I still have time to do what I am doing or I have to stop to prepare the meals.

Many times in a day for I go to the library and have to be conscious of the time so I can get many things done before they close or I go home. I catch the bus, so this will make you a constant watcher of the watch. I like to get home in time for my favorite shows on tv, so when I shop I try to get things done quickly so I am seeing my watch all the time to be aware what time it is to get home in time. Sometimes when I window shop it alarms me how quickly time goes by too!
