I just had attended funeral wake of my sister's brother in law. His death was so sudden that everyone was in shock about what happened. He just met someone in a Mall last Thursday when all of a sudden he suddenly collapse and lose consciousness. The problem was the traffic that he was able to go to the hospital after an hour and a half after he collapse. Doctors revived him and was successful but they say he incurred massive damage due to stroke brain damage was severe already because of the time it took them to get medical help. He was declared brain dead and his survival is never assured. On Saturday midnight the family decided to stop the machine because there was no hope that there was no hope for recovery anymore. 40 minutes later he passed.away. Although I am not close to their family but I sincerely am sad for his family where he left a son who is about to graduate this coming year.

How old is he? I think because it is too hot there, right? I personally think that he is like a walking time bomb. My condolence.

Might be but it happened in the mall that it was cool. He suffered massive stroke. He had his first attack before but survived it. This time he didn’t and was caught unaware.

@Shavkat True he has his first attack several years but he was able to recover from it and did not have much damage. But this time it just happened unexpectedly at the wrong time and place.

@rsa101 I am feeling bad to hear this kind of tragic end of life. That's the reason why I stopped working in the hospital. I prefer to be a consultant having hands-on with the patients.

Indeed it is quite tragic that it happened to them like that so fast. There were no goodbyes from both the wife and the husband and their children. He was not able to regain consciousness anymore after the incident. Today is their cremation date. I was not able to attend anymore since I believe it is a private affair of the family and close friends already.

@simplfred I see looks like that age seems a favorite target for health risks.

That is true. I just wish that we could be given a chance to say our goodbyes before we leave.
