I use olive oil for polishing my table and others. This is great to use and bring out the shine in it. Plus much cheaper. No it is not greasy not for me

I guess since it is oil that it would work. I imagine that it would get sticky over time, but maybe not! As long as it works for you and it is a cheap option that is pretty handy!

Wow! But do you know here in the Philippines we don't use olive oil specially the pure one because it's too expensive to use for polishing.

May be olive oil is cheaper at your place. Here in India olive oil is quite expensive. People use it for cooking and some use it for massaging. I do not think we could afford to polish table and other things, with such an expensive oil.

@amadeo It will cost around Rs.700/- per lite here. I USD = Rs.70/- (approximately).

I like to wipe down my wood furniture with it and sometimes make up a mix of two cups olive oil and 1/2 cup vinegar to clean and oil the wood at the same time.

@amadeo You're welcome. I bought a used oak TV stand and a small oak bookcase yesterday and today and used the oil to help penetrate the wood. I always have olive oil on hand.
