I guess since it is oil that it would work. I imagine that it would get sticky over time, but maybe not! As long as it works for you and it is a cheap option that is pretty handy!

Wow! But do you know here in the Philippines we don't use olive oil specially the pure one because it's too expensive to use for polishing.

May be olive oil is cheaper at your place.
Here in India olive oil is quite expensive. People use it for cooking and some use it for massaging. I do not think we could afford to polish table and other things, with such an expensive oil.
