What do you do with clothes that you no longer use?

As you know I have two young children and every season I need to check their clothes, what they still use, what is small, what is damaged with stains or holes and what clothes do they need. I spent a great part of my morning organizing my daughter's summer clothes. A great part of the last year clothes no longer fits her and I will give them to my niece and to a cousin, those that are damaged I usually give them to be recycled but she needs some new things. I usually don't buy a lot of things as she is growing and soon she will need others. What do you do with clothes that you no longer use? Picture of my daughter's clothes

I never thought about selling them as my niece and my cousin wears them but it is a possibility to do it with my own clothes.

I had a garage sale after the school ends here. I sell the old clothes. I used to give them to some people I know I cannot contact them anymore. Some, I donate

My boys do hand me downs between each other but my girls most of her get donated. If someone look like something her girl cousins would like I’ll ask there parents if they want it or not. Some times I resell the clothes.

We used to give those to our maid who was helping us in house hold stuffs. She has a daughter who is younger than mine. So she says it was very helpful when we gave away the dresses.

I have two daughters and it passes from one to other. I keep clothes in very good condition and even after being used by both they are still in good condition to pass it on to someone else in family or donate it. I donate mostly to my household help who has a granddaughter.

@nela13 I can understand. I was the only girl in my family on both sides..my mother and father's side. I always felt bad as I couldn't get an used dress from my cousins while others could get it and the ones of same age could share their wardrobe. Now my daughters are teenagers and there are few things we three can share.

I have two bags of clothes that I'm going to donate. I remember when my children were young and how fast they outgrew their clothes. My friends and I had a clothes swap since our children were close in age and different sizes.

I donate them to whichever place I can... That's what my mother has been doing and I do the same... There are so many people on this earth who can't even afford to cover their body in cold... Just a small help for them. If something is really worn out... That goes to a dust bin.
