For the past couple of days I have not been suitable company for man nor beast. I have gone through the feeling of shock, denial, anger, depression, and back to shock again. I received my results from my doctor on Tuesday for the MRI test. They are pretty sure I have liver cancer. Yes, the big C. I didn't expect that. Immediately they started making appointment for other testing. This morning I went for blood test again. Monday I go for a fiber scan. Thursday I go for a liver biopsy. They are already talking to me about liver surgery. They are testing to see exactly where they need to cut and how much of the liver will have to go. Once I peeled myself off the floor from the shock, and went through several other emotions I started thinking how lucky I am that the liver is an organ that can have pieces of it removed and still function. Now I am trying to get organized for the recovery time after they operate. Until that day I will still be writing, reading and reaching out the my fellow myLotters. Boy can I use some prayers. Thanks everybody.

Right now they are trying to see how involved it is. I am glad anyway that they say that they found it early.

@HazySue They found it early, so they can remove the part that is affected and you will be fine again.

I thought I'd start with a hug. You probably need a few of them. Yes, it is a shock and a shock for me to read it. You're right, the liver can be cut and it regenerates. There is always hope and my prayers will always be with you.

And with the Lord on your side, your recovery time will be short and the surgery, done perfectly. You will soon be back on your feet, as before the 'terrible C' gave you a scare. You're gonna be just fine, Susan!

@HazySue I've got you in my prayers Sue, don't give up-please! You have great doctors, and although we do not get to choose if or when we get sick, now, more then ever, with the medical advances that are being made almost daily it seems, it has to be a better time then not to face this. The odds ARE with you. Don't give up, I know you've got this.

Thank you. I am lucky, in a way, that it is the liver. At least it can regenerate itself and pieces be removed. Hopefully positive thinking, pray, and the will to live will have me sailing through all this ok. My family for sure is helping. I hate to worry them this way but I can't not tell them.

You are so sweet. The liver can be cut and parts of it taken out and still work. Fortunately it can also regenerate itself. They also feel that they caught it in the earliest stage so that is a blessing.
