Yay, Its Saturday

I was hoping to sleep in this morning until around 9 am. That didn't happen. My mother woke us up at 6:30. I got her settled back into her bed and then decided to just stay up. My hubby also got up. We made coffee and watched a bit of television before I started breakfast.
I woke my mom up to eat breakfast. She ate everything on her plate and watched some tv before falling asleep in the recliner. She is worn out from all the activity during the last two days. She is now back in the bed. I will let her sleep for a couple of hours and then wake her up. I want to get her outside for a little bit to get a few minutes of sunshine before the mosquitoes set in for the evening.
I have all the critters fed and want to get outside for a bit and get started picking up limbs from the storm Thursday. It's time to mow the grass again. I have some laundry to do, but that can wait another day or two.
I also have some re-potting to do with vegetable plants. I need to get tomatoes moved to the plot we started and also put the potato plants out there. I think my time is now fixing to be even shorter for doing the things I enjoy. So I have to make use of any "down" time.

Of course not, you know how that goes. I did get started picking up all the fallen limbs in the yard from the storm this past Thursday. I also got some bell pepper plants repotted. And just finished blanching corn on the cob. Now I have to see if it will fit in the freezer. I have to clean out the deep freezer soon. Waiting on hubby to help with that chore.

I hope you enjoy your day. It sounds as if it's nice and sunny there now. It's very rainy here and I am sitting here thinking "why don't I have a proper rain coat?"

@andriaperrry Tell me about it. Just finished blanching corn and it smells so good. I'm tempted to go get a piece of corn on the cob to eat, but I"m going to be good and leave it alone.

I started them outside on my back porch this year. I have started them (earlier in year) indoors, but my hubby hates that. I have some of the containers for six pack flowers that have been planted that I use and also a larger tray version for seedlings. Transplanted outdoors when ready. I enjoy it and love fresh vegetables. To me is is worth the effort.

@riverbetty108 I wish I could say the same. I am hoping that I get a better night's sleep tonight.
