Hug someone you love today

There are little things that, in the vertigo of the days, we forget to say and do. Giving a hug without haste, taking time to listen, with our hearts, our children, thanking, asking for protection for what we do not see, but we feel, telling some people how important they are in our lives, not leaving anything good for say or do. Look at our-small-world in the eyes and say, letter by letter, all that is good for us.
Because silences do not always say everything. Because happiness is not tomorrow, it is now. Because the best things in life are, and will always be, the people we love. And because, when we distract ourselves, life is past.
My godmother is at the hospital, alzheimer don't let her recognize us and I feel that I have so many things to tell her...

Life is to short so hug who you need to hug say what you need to say love who you need to love because you never know when they will not recognize you and you never know when they will be gone from you in this life so you must make the most over every day every minute and every second do not take anything for granted live in the now because that is all we have.

Very true, we can't take our loved ones for granted and sometimes we are so busy that we don't do simple things that are so important in our relationships.

A very good post. The true value in life does tend to come from those small moments like that. I'm sorry about your godmother - Alzheimers is a sad illness. Maybe you can still say those things to her, in a round about way

@nela13 I think, even if she isn't lucid, she still appreciates you

I'm sorry for that. I read it somewhere, but I did not remember it well How many times is exactly good to be a hug during the day

@nela13 It's not good to overdo it, believe me. In anything but also in hugs too

I live by that philosophy, never wait to tell the people you love how you feel.

Thank you, we hope that this is a side effect of anesthesia, she went to surgery because she fell and broke her leg.

I am sorry to hear your godmother is suffering from Alzheimer's disease. It is horrible to watch someone suffer from this, and how hurtful it is to watch them suffer for lack of remembering or recognizing things. But you said it best, how important it is to hug our loved ones, tell them how much we love them.

Yes thats true! Now is all thats guaranteed so we must make the best of now. And to give love, smiles and your quality time to someone is some of the best things we can do.
