I am at the moment traveling back home to attend to my cousins wedding. It will be eight hours travel so I will be sleeping over in a bus tonight and when I wake up will be at my destination already hopefully there would be no traffic along the way.

@cacay1 its just a sleep over and you’ll realize that your in the place already. There’s a plane actually but we chose the cheaper travel. We will fly when we return to manila. It was a free voucher we got from previous flight cancellation we had last april.

@thelme55, having 8 hours travel by bus, one can barely feel the joy, so far. I cannot make it . I wonder if there is no plane going to the venue of the wedding.

What province did you go, my friend? It seems like traveling from Bicol to Manila by bus.

@Shavkat Yeah for a first timer it is nice to visit it but for me, they are quite ordinary already. What keeps me to this place is the family.

When taking the bus on long trips I also like to travel at night. Has it been long since you visited your hometown?

Our last trip was just last Holy Week. It was grueling 12 hour trip because we’ve faced a lot of traffic.

@cacay1 Oh yes it was the Holy Week that’s why it was heavily congested. Even when we returned back tvia plane it was cancelled.

@Janet357 yes they somewhat upgraded their buses and the seats improved a lot. Some even says it looks like the one on the plane already.

That is somewhat far, 8 hours travel. is there no plane going to the place where the wedding is held? I cannot manage 8 hours travel by bus.

I am used to that. We do have plane its about 30-45 minutes travel. But the price is much higher than bus. We opt for plane travel back home to manila since we got a free flight voucher last April when they cancelled our plane before.

@rsa101 , anyway , during long trip by bus , all we like to do is sleep. I avoid drinking plenty of water during long or short trips. I hate to keep going to comfort room.

True 8 hours is like one sleep over in seating position. But it’s nice and comfortable reclining seat I am with right now. Early tomorrow this seat is not comfortable anymore.

@JustBhem just arrived about 7am because we encountered some traffic due to road works. The seat is pretty comfortable and reclines down and there’s support for the legs that is why it’s not that uncomfortable. But still you will lack sleep because every now and then you would wake up coz you’re not use to that sleeping position. I have rested now and is preparing for the wedding. Tomorrow we’ll be going back via plane so it won’t be much ch of a trouble traveling.

That’s very true. It can be a bit uncomfortable since you will be sleeping in seating position but arriving home can feel great indeed.
