My new girlfriend!

I spent this past weekend up at the Grass Valley Father's Day Bluegrass Festival. I made a vow to find a new girlfriend and succeeded. I am such a trollop.
There were all sorts of libations there, and we played a lot of bluegrass music, got "wasted," and had good conversations.
But one of the highlights for me was meeting the current love of my life. She is 12-months- old, and her parents were hanging with us.
I had some seedless green grapes with me, and she found them interesting, so she and I played a game with them between songs.
I would grab one, take a bite of half (choking hazard), and give the other half to her. She would either gobble up the other half or take it to daddy, who was ready to eat the other half.
The next morning, we played the same game, but she figured out how to toddle over to me, find my bag of grapes, and take one out. We watched her closely as she nibbled on the grape or took it over to daddy.
Other than that, there was some good picking and grinning going on. I experienced a lot of tunes and hugs. I had to leave early to play electric bass in a childhood cancer awareness gig near my house (rock 'n roll, not bluegrass).
Today, I relax.

Picking and grinning... isn't that what Jerry Reed, Buck Owens and Roy Clark did on Hee Haw?

You sure have a way with the young ladies. You do a lot of good with your music.

@1creekgirl So where the hell are they? I get frustrated with frustrated teachers. But it's not entirely their fault.

Now I want grapes.
I did what you did today.
Question, how do you deal with that problem child that is all grown up and is still a problem? Still acting like a child.

@andriaperry I'd just do "active listening" (good listening) and give no advice. People like to be heard.

@TheHorse Well I think you already do, you bring that magnetism to the work you do with children, you can gain their trust and it allows you to help them, that is a gift for sure.

@TheHorse I wish I could have been there. My friends Roy and Buck used to do a lot of picking and grinning and I miss it.

You are such a tramp, Horse. What are we gonna do with you?????
Good thing for you the bluegrass staple "Fox on the Run" was originally a rock song! How'd the shows go?
