After receiving the current bill, I almost puke!
Guess what? Our current bill got doubled. And I know the reason why. That because I have an Aircon.
So, what I did is get up in the morning and stay all day in the living room and turned off the AC. Because of this, I can see my Mother’s furious face. As we all know, she does not like me around especially here in the living room. At the moment, she is very piss, keep yelling and I know the reason why.
But the heck with her.
I want to make use of saving since she is not the one who pay the bills.
Good luck to her.

After blackout, it is also advisable to switch off all the light. So, when the light comes on again, the lights are still off. Wait about 5 minutes then switch on again all lights. This help reduce the bill.

Air conditioners here in spite of the so called new ones that are not supposed to give high bills they still do.
Most of us have bought one and given up using it as the bills are impossibles so I can relate very much to that.
I put the shutters down all I can when its very hot and then put them up again after a couple of hours it does work somewhat.

I can relate to that kind of situation and hope you can get enough cool air to see you through the day.

Your mother should not show her frowning face early morning . Maybe she does not realize your feeling of paying high bill. At home our electric bill is 7,000 pesos monthly for two aircons in the evening and 7 fans moving in the day. We don't have choice. It's so hot in our country .

I agree with you. ACs are expensive and not very healthy. We have a fan running. It saves electricity and we're never sick. I was sick once in 2011. It was hot outside and I entered a bus where the AC was set to very low. It felt good, after being so hot. But the next morning I had a sore throat. When you don't have an AC, you adapt much better to the heat outside.

Opps how long did you turn the aircon on. I usually try to use it for only a couple of hours then stop and just used the electric fan blow the cool air for sometime. I usually do that when we are about to sleep 11-1 or 2am then its off the whole time till early morning. Then in the afternoon when the heat is really unbearable so another couple of hours again until the sun is down so 3pm to 5pm at most.
