Reheating Food

Because I’m not a good cook, even reheating food is a worry to me. Being an overthinker adds to this dilemma. Most of the time, my family laughs at me for trying to cook but I’m not annoyed. I just do whatever I feel like doing and it’s funny how my two younger sisters trust my cooking abilities.
Do you have tips or guidelines in reheating food?

You should never reheat food but steam it. Fill a vessel with water and place colander over it. Place the vessel with the food in the collander. Close it with a lid and steam it for a while

@MALUSE Reheating changes its original state. But steaming does not In fact it moisturises it while reheating reduces the moisture We used tore heat it before until we came to know about this steaming method. Try and see.

@MALUSE I do not know about you but specially dry dishes get stuck at the bottom if they are reheated and one needs to supervise or keep stirring. Steaming does not do that.

@MALUSE No thanks. Once a dish is prepared I will never add anything as it will change its taste.
You stick to your method and I will stick to mine

I often do it the way Always Smiling has mentioned in her comment. That makes the food soft. Simple ways are reheating in microwave or just putting it on stove.

Thank you @arunima25 the microwave was on top of my mind but on times that it’s not available I’d like to have an idea on what to do. I don’t like the feeling of not knowing what to do. Makes me feel weak.

@weevee18 It's simple to just use stove or dip the food in a box in hot water.

@weevee18 It is better to cook alone, do you know what is the problem if some one around. we always feel doubt, is it right or wrong, because some one is there to disturb and seek help. If you do it alone, you will gain confidence on doing it yourself.

Thank you! This is what I actually do when I want to try and cook something. I’d like to cook alone because if someone would be checking again and again then I will be very distracted. I will always try to cook. I know that when I practice enough, I’d make a decent meal one day.

Sometimes I heat it in the microwave and other times I heat it on the stove.

@weevee18 some stews in bigger pans heat better on the stove than in the microwave.

Only once reheat food because it is not bad for your health. Reheating again and again it's not good for health.

I reheat some things in the microwave oven and others in the normal oven or in the gas range
