I am flawed

I am flawed (it means damaged or deficient). At least that is what I seemed to learn from a survey this morning.
The skin care companies spend so much money convincing us that we are somehow not as good as we could be, so that they can hopefully sell us their product.
When I was younger, I believed it. I wanted a different hairstyle. I wore so much makeup you would not know me. I would do anything to get rid of my freckles.
Well this is my rebellion this morning. I AM NOT FLAWED ! I am unique, I am myself. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I am who I am.
Differences add character. They are only the surface. Everyday we should embrace our perfectly imperfect selves.
Perfection is boring, unimaginative, and destroys your individuality.
If you workout, do it for you. If you color your hair, do it because you want to, if you wear makeup--"rock it" for fun. Do not let beauty and skin care product companies make you any less that who you are.

@GardenGerty That's too bad. Each person needs to be their own personal self.

And a gorgeous smile. A genuine smile is the best makeup.

these companies feed 'pon folks insecurities. 'tis all smoke'n mirrors, fed by photo-shopped 'n airbrushed pics 'f models 'n celebrities.
i like the 'to thy own self be true' 'pproach to such. perfection aint obtainable. what's'n the inside 'n how ya live yer life 're way more 'mportant than the rest.

This survey was all about how our skin is flawed and our body wash can fix it. Yeah, right.

@crazyhorseladycx So many people trying to help their income with "product" and eating well for our individual body needs is so much better. Is Thrive the "pink drink"? I knew someone who was told it would be helpful for her diabetes, and instead it made it worse. I have skin care that is home made for the most part, and I like it fine.

Oh this survey was all about our skin imperfections all over and how you can fix it with body wash. Kind of silly.

I buy only soap and shampoo. I stopped using make up years ago. It has saved me a lot of money.

I like BB cream as it heals up some skin problems I get. Mostly it is sunscreen and tinted moisturizer.

I have always had to be careful of the pennies. I like nice things, but I also like to pay my bills etc.

I have up most make up 3-5 years ago. At times I will wear mascara.
I do color the gray, brown and white hair, all one color and white wins.
I do have to work out for me, since I am/was slowing killing myself with delicious food, so the doctor says.

I have to be active for me, I feel much better. sometimes I color my hair, with henna. I am not sure where I put it away, so I am not colored. Mascara does not really do me any good any more. This idea came to me while I was taking a survey about a body wash and how it can help our imperfect skin.

My hair does its own thing. I would like to get it cut again, maybe, but do not have the time or money right now. It curls, it fluffs. All by itself.

@GardenGerty I can relate to that. I have natural curly hair and it curls so much or it just fluffs. I donĀ“t like to go often to a hairdresser as it is expensive for me.
