Caramel Frappes: A Disappointment

As I mentioned earlier today, I had to take one of my daughters to the doctor today to follow up on her last visit. She has a large cyst on one of her ovaries and when discovered, it was the size that required surgery. Her doctor wants to keep a close eye on it and see it it will shrink down to a more normal size vs. jumping in and doing surgery. So far the cyst is shrinking. It's down almost a full cm. When first discovered, it was over 5 cm. Now it is almost an even 4 cm. To celebrate the occasion I bought us both caramel frappes. There was not a good shop around so we had to settle for Burger King frappes. They were not the best, but not the worst either. Someone needs to teach them how to make them. I think that because we were both drained and getting sleepy, that we both over looked how bad these frappes really were. They put ice in the bottom of the cup, poured the coffee mix over it, added whipped cream and caramel. Usually the ice is shaved and not little pieces like we got today. We ended up throwing them out with half a cup of ice in the bottom. It was like drinking iced coffee. Photo: My own

@kareng Since that was a June post how is she now? Does she have to have to surgery or did it go all the way down now? It is a shame they were not good and you had to throw them away.

They are going to monitor it and make sure it continues to go down. She doesn't like the gynecologist they sent her to so she will be changing doctors. He recommended a hysterectomy for her for an ovarian cyst. She is doing better and thank you for asking about her.

@kareng You are welcome and so glad she is doing better and can see why she wanted a different doctor.

I do not like Burger King's frappe at all. My daughter and i did the same thing...threw them away. McDonald's is much better and ours from there never go to waste.

Win one, lose one. I like the one we won and will take it over a good Frappe any day.

All three of my daughters have suffered with them since teenage years. I'm sure I had them too but my pain was all contributed to endometriosis. I had the big H after the twins were born. I only get them once in a blue moon. It would be nice to get a good one in that blue moon. ha
