Are they using you for money?

Hey everyone.. I have a question for you all..
How do you know if someone is using you for money? It could be your best friend, a cousin, or girlfriend/boyfriend..
Some people don't think about this.. but it's very important to know..! what if they are just pretending to be broke so that you'd pay for stuff.. and they never talk about paying you back..!
It might look great on television.. friends having each other's back in this type of situation like Joey and chandler.. but I don't think it really applies in real life..

If you are the one always paying.
You know they have expensive items or use designer products yet they claim not to have $.

Once in awhile if you pay for stuff, then they pay for stuff (mutual back and forth is fine). Or offer to spilt bill that's good too. Going forward I would recommend hey, lets just spilt the check or something and see they reaction.
But also who is inviting to go out. Are you? If so they think you are inviting them + will pay.
They can use one, if they always ask hey lets go out but they don't cover any costs.

@infatuatedbby i gotta be very careful now..!
Because I think it happens all the time that they make plans and they just say like.. oo I don't have money.. so they expect from me to bear the costs.. it makes me so mad..!

That's really bad. I'm so sorry that you're dealing with this situation.. Maybe you should talk to him.. make him realize how much your mother needs money right now.. and he should be a good son and take care of her.. not give her stress at this time..

It took me a lot of time to figure out that my friend was using me for money. I never minded anything.. for paying.. or driving them somewhere.. never asked for anything in return.. but then I realized how much I've spent on just one friend.. and she never tried to pay me back ever.. or even talk about it.

@Sedakabloom I've been there. I have asked for the money back, they usually show their true colors then. Making excuses and then they quit coming around.

There are people who can only remember you in times of difficulties; those who beg and follow you around just to get what they want. They go to you in every financial crisis but pretend not to know you when they need nothing. They are bloodsuckers. However, not everyone is like them. There are still genuine people who are more than willing to reach out.
