Your Mother is Watching You

How differently would you live your life if your mother was watching you? My mother was very strict and kept me isolated from the "real world" until I took my first full-time job. Once I moved out and could make my own decisions, my life was so different.
I could see the man who is now my husband more than once a week, I could stay out as late as I wanted to, I learned how to pay my own bills and make my way in the world. If my mother was still watching, I think I'm old enough now that what she thought wouldn't make me change my ways. If it happened when I was young, I might have retreated back into my shell.
What would you do or not do if your mother was watching?

If my Mom is watching she's watching from heaven. I would hope she would have better things to do than watch me make silly mistakes.

She would enjoy watching you, whatever you do! You are a delightful person. Do you mind my asking what state you are in?

@LindaOHio It depends on the time of year. Currently I am on the Wyoming - Utah border. A little over half of the year I am in Montana. Always on or near a mountain.

I care more about God watching me to be honest. Eternity is a very long time.
Although I'm grateful that my parents are finally proud of who I am. =)

Exactly. I'm glad your parents are proud of you. Mine never were.

@LindaOHio wow, that is very sad. Parents who can't accept who their children are might need to work on themselves.

I was living life just as I am now before my mother passed. She knew most of it.

My mom and I were best friends and I miss her. She was very critical of me, but that was simply who she was.

I didn't have really good relationship with my mum. we lived separately most of my life, So frankly I don't care, I always make my own decisions.

My mom passed away 5 years back, I was quite young at that time. She and I were BFFs, I'll always miss her. My dad is a bit on the stricter side. So, I think we all need to keep on doing things that we love and do with the right intentions to have a happy life.
