Planning On a Relaxing Day Today

Since we canceled my mom's doctor appointment today, we have not critical things to do. I'm hoping for a relaxing kind of day. So far, it is working and we are halfway through the day.
I got all the animals fed, watered and settled for the morning and eggs collected. We were really short this morning with only 2 eggs picked up vs. the normal 4 to 7 in the morning gathering. Hoping this picks up this afternoon, but could be due to the storm coming in. Animals have "that" instinct.
I also got some boxes, trash and limbs burned which is good since we have rain all weekend in the forecast.
The only other thing I need to do is run to town to pick up some bread.
What kind of day are you having today? I hope it is a good one.

@wolfgirl569 We will need a lot of time to dry out after this storm passes through.

I will be having a hectic day, even though it is a weekend.
But yes family also matters after catering to official needs for a whole week.

yes ma'am, those critters 're most sensitive to weather changes. folks'd be smart if'n they heeded their actions.
wish i could burn a bunch'f branches 'n weeds here. too dry 'n windy, not to mention then the neighbors 'd be doin' the same'n last time such didn't work out well...
havin' a glorious day here. sun shinin', birds singin', squirrel givin' mama cat the what fer'n 'er jest ignorin' his chatter, lol. got some weeds tended this morn 'fore 't got too hot 'n hopes to get more this eve. gotta get 'em out so's i can mow/trim 'round the edges 'f thingies. otherwise they'll come back with tree trunks 'n be 'mpossible to deal with.

@kareng he's gotta be kin to this'un! yup, he's perfectly content't seems to wade through waist high weeds versus tendin' 'em. sigh... jest wears me out. i've 5 acres with loads 'f weeds from years 'f neglect whilst i 'twas ill. i got a huge portion 'f the pasture cleared out late last summer. the majority 've not returned. he'll not admit such 'twas beneficial. they'd gotten so bad coz 'nstead 'f tendin' 'em whilst small, he'd wait 'til they'd grown big 'n their seeds fertile, then he'd finally mow - spreadin' those seeds all o'er the place.

@crazyhorseladycx Mine loves to mow stuff down. I can put stakes all around something and he goes over it.
