I am always joking around with people when I am out sweeping and I will tell them that I am getting ready to go for a ride on my broom. Of course I get a laugh from them. The reason for that title is the show The Wizard Of Oz. Have you seen this movie? If you have what did you think of it? Have you seen the new version of it? I haven't and really don't want to. I really don't like watching remakes of shows. They just aren't the same.

@LadyDuck I agree. The movie The Horse Whisperer wasn't as good as the book.

@velvet53 I fully agree and many movies (MOST) are never as good as the book. Inferno (by Dan Brown) book was a good book, the movie a garbage.

Tell me you're joking. They seriously didn't do a remake of The Wizard of Oz. Why would they do that? Can't they leave a good thing alone? No, I haven't seen it. Yes, I have seen the original.

The new one won't come out until next year. It is called Land of Oz. I have been reading about it and it is sad. There are too many good original movies being redone and I don't like it. Take Mary Poppins for example.

@velvet53 That's not a remake. The kids are grown up with kids of their own and it's Mary Poppins to the rescue. New story. It's marvelous.

It had a scarecrow, lion and a Tin Man and of course Dorothy. They were on a mission to get to the wizard.

One reason remakes if classic shows are worse now these days is due to the studios insisting that they must have diversity.
