Dentist appointment update.

So, on Wednesday, I took my kids to their dentist appointment. They were all good, and went up onto the chair when it was their turn. They were well behaved. Good news is two out of three were good to go and had no cavities. Bad news is my middle one has a few cavities. So, I have some appointments to have them fixed. It won't be easy, but they have to be fixed. The appointments are all pretty close to each other. I figured get them done and over with as quickly as possible.

My daughter's teeth were always good when I would take them to the dentist....no cavities. But my son, he had a few cavities. Our dentist was pretty good and would fill them right there on the spot. I always encourage them to brush really good so that they won't have to worry about cavities in the future. My son has braces now, so I am always nagging him to make sure he is brushing and flossing good.

It's always good when they brush their teeth. We encourage our kids to do it as well. Last time, it was my eldest who had cavities. And now it's my middle one.

@moffittjc Yes, it completely make sense. As much as I do want to be careful with their teeth, adult and baby, I'm a little more concerned with their adult teeth.

@dodo19 When my kids were little the dentist told me not to worry too much if they got cavities, since it was their baby teeth and the baby teeth would fall out anyway. She just said to make sure they brush good, floss, and take good care of their adult teeth.

@1hopefulman We have AC in our bedroom. And we have access to a pool. We're in a pretty big complex, so residents have access to the pool. How are you handling the heat?

I'm sorry your middle child had several cavities. I don't know the age, but please be careful and don't make them afraid of the dentist. I had bad teeth growing up and had to be put to sleep for dental care at a very young age. Since that time I had a fear of the dentist and hated going.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I can understand your fear. I definitely try to help them take of their teeth and so far I don't think they're afraid of their dentist. They're pretty nice anyway.

Glad that your kids did well at the dentist. I feel bad for your middle one that has to have some cavities fixed but I'm sure the dentist will make sure it's not a painful experience. I went to the dentist on Wednesday too!!

Yes, they were really good. I do feel sorry for as well. I know the dentist will make sure it goes well. When my eldest had cavities, they were super good with her, and I know it'll be the same. I hope that everything went well for you at the dentist.

It is. Well, this time two out of three with no cavities this time. My eldest has had some, but not this time. Last time eldest did, but not my second. This time, things were reversed. Still could be a lot worse.

It always seems like one child has weaker teeth, for us, it was my youngest daughter. It is hard to have a child get fillings but I am sure like here they make sure it is a pleasant experience and ease any fears they may have.

It is a really good place. When my eldest had cavities and needed fillings, they were so nice with her. They are really nice. I'm sure they'll be just as good with my second.

My next one is in October... so I'm not thinking anything dentist. Good news, is that you caught them all before they got any worse!

Sounds good..I remember my mother found a children's dentist for sis and I, but by the time she did, I was 11 or 12 and not too interested in kid things..We only went a few times.
