What do you bring with you when you are traveling abroad?

It is packing time for me. Well, I will do that after lunch because I still have to cook. I only need 1 baggage for my travel as hubby stays at home while I am with my sister and niece and their respective family for a week.
I travel light as usual. I don´t like to carry many things with me. Passport, money, travel cards and itineraries, cell phone beside a few clothes and cosmetics. I think I only need my identification card to go to other European countries but I will still bring my passport with me, for sure. How I wish I still get a stamp on my passport that I was there in England, The Netherlands and Belgium. It was like that in the 80s when hubby and I were traveling in Europe.
I will be busy today as I will cook 2 meals to freeze for my hubby and son while I am away. Other days they will cook for themselves. I don´t worry about that as hubby knows how to cook.
Btw, happy birthday Julia, Andria and Gilly.. I wish you all the best and stay healthy and happy. Enjoy your celebration.

The US is a huge country with many beautiful things and landscapes to see, so there is no need to travel abroad. I usually travel with a book too but not this time. There will be a lot of chatting with each other. Thanks @chrissbergstrom

Now you reminded me of a very small statue of an angel which is in my wallet ever since my hubby gave it to me. He got it from someone and he gave it to me years ago. I have forgotten about it until now. Thanks for reminding me of my guardian angel in my wallet @cacay1.

I no longer travel abroad but when I did for many years, I would only take one bag..my backpack.

Backpack is good when traveling @TiarasOceanView.. I did that last year in the Philippines and it was good as the weather is warm and I don't have to bring jacket or pullover with me.

@TiarasOceanView Me either. When I went to the Philippines last year, I was allowed to have a 40 kilos luggage but I only brought half with me. What's the use of plenty of luggage when it is me who will carry in the end.

I think to carry the important things are enough. As you mentioned like passport, money, travel cards, itineraries, cell phone and a few clothes and cosmetics.

I bring clothes that work together so I can use them several ways. I always bring my cellphone and at least a tablet. I wear one pair of shoes on my feet and that is the pair I take. I travel pretty simply. In the winter I bring layers.

That is what I do to when traveling @BelleStarr. Traveling light with a few clothes is good.

Have fun with your sister and niece. I don't travel to other countries, but when I travel locally, I don't take more than a suitcase with me, and my camera. I don't need anything else. I'm not on vacation to spend time on the Internet or talking to people on the phone. I don't even think I had my phone with me on my last vacation with my friend two years ago.

Thank you @just4him. I bring my cellphone or iPhone with me as I use this for taking photos and videos. I am not fun of talking or texting with my cellphone. I hate it when someone call me while I am walking. I only answer it when it is my hubby or my son.

Nowadays when I travel I take a lot less clothes than I used to. A really heavy bag is too hard to manage.
