Does having a followers make difference...???

I never checked my followers.... I am grateful towards the people who are following me, in fact I put up a huge thank you
.
But I am still wondering, does having followers on myLot makes difference. I mean I am following number of people but I personally haven't made out any difference as such....
So what's the concept behind this....
I know there are many experienced myLotters who can help me solving this query....

For me the people that follow, look for my posts, and I look for there, and it causes interaction. I am actually grateful to those because not so many new people every post on my discussions. Without interaction, what good is it. So Yes, followers make a difference to me.

I Think if you have a follower who's understanding is superb then it's doesn't matter what is your discussion all about.

Some of the very first posts that I try to engage in are under the 'Follows' tab. I usually start with 'Their Discussions.'
I do this in an attempt to keep a close connection with those on my follow list. Many of them are active, some aren't as much. Like anything else, though, it's a number's game.
I can only control what I do; so I just try to do my best.

I think it's just the way we look at it, I always go to my followers post first and then I go to most recent.
